About the process
THE PHARAOHS NEW CLOTHES
If you know a little bit about Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s first show, you wouldn’t expect a sci-fi, cyberpunk aesthetic. But this production succeeded in pulling this 55-year old show into a modern setting and give it the facelift it needed.
I was brought in to design and deliver the costumes three weeks before the premiere. I started from scratch and the result is costumes consisting mainly of pre-made pieces tweaked to achieve personality and customization.
